in Turkey and in the CIS countries. The company holds
the sales, marketing and distribution rights for KIA
vehicles in Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Georgia.
In year 2002, the company has acquired the exclusive
dealership of Kia in Turkey.
While the company continues
to emphasize its Lada re-exports in the CIS countries,
it has increased its focus in the upper segment of
domestic market, through Kia's new models introduced
to the market in 2002. Backed up by effective marketing
activities, the Kia branded sales resulted in impressive
y-o-y growths of 196% and 104%, respectively, in the
passenger car and light commercial vehicle segments,
as the end of the third quarter of 2003.
